Congratulations to Larry Cooper on his appointment as the first professional flight chaplain serving the crews of Cox Air Care in Springfield, MO. “We’re very happy for Larry and his crews, and welcome him into the community of professional flight chaplains. We also celebrate the advocacy and support of Susan Crum, Program Director. Without her efforts, Cox Air Care would not have a flight chaplain today,” said Amelie Buchanan, APFC Board Chair.

In a recent review, CAMTS noted flight chaplain Cooper’s integration into PAIP planning and the Family Assistance Program at Cox Air Care. “This acknowledgment by CAMTS is a positive encouragement, we believe, to any flight program considering the development of a flight chaplain position,” said Buchanan.

Larry has been a long-time friend of APFC, and an advocate for its mission at Cox Air Care conferences, and otherwise. The APFC Board is grateful, and looks forward to supporting and working with Larry as the newest flight chaplain member of APFC.
