Our Program History:

CareFlite celebrates its 37th anniversary this year as the first joint use air medical program in the nation. As the second air medical program in Texas, and eighth nationwide, CareFlite has transported over 95,000 patients by air since 1979. Today, CareFlite provides air ambulance services by rotor and fixed wing as well as emergent and non-emergent ground transport. CareFlite, a not for profit air and ground service is sponsored by the Baylor Scott & White Healthcare System, JPS Health Network, Methodist Health System, Parkland Hospital, and Texas Health Resources. CareFlite operates (2) Bell 429, (4) Bell 407GX, and (1) King Air C-90.
